I’m going to keep this one very short. If Cutting Humor wins the Kentucky Derby, I will seriously consider forgetting everything I know about handicapping. I can name at least 12 horses that I think are more likely to win. Maybe 15. That’s not to say Cutting Humor can’t step up and run the race of his life. That’s certainly possible. And it’s possible the race of his life could be good enough to win. But too many others are just as likely to take that next jump, and many of them have already done more.
