KY Downs Trip Alert Horse Entered at Keeneland
Brielle’s Appeal ran a terrific race on September 8th at Kentucky Downs. We featured her effort in one of our Trip Alerts here at LoneSpeed. She fought for the lead early with a hopeless longshot who ended up near the back of the pack. Brielle’s Appeal was run down late by the classy Ruby Notion and Lull, both of whom were able to sit just off the early pace.
In Friday’s 9th race at Keeneland, there appears to be more speed signed on than Brielle’s Appeal had to deal with at Kentucky Downs. And there are some classier foes in against her, along with the aforementioned Ruby Notion. But if you think her last showed that she can compete in this division at the graded stakes level, then perhaps at the expected 12-1 odds she is worth a swing, especially at the shorter distance. She’ll need to clear them all from the outside post. And she’ll likely need to run faster early than she has in the past. That’s why she’ll be a price. But note that she ran a 95 BSF over this course and this distance, and this field isn’t exactly loaded with Beyers that high. At the very least, she should give you a thrill for your money as they turn for home. I think she’s a must-use in all exotics and a very interesting win play. See PPs and the replay of her last below. And let me know if you agree with me that Brielle’s Appeal was on the wrong lead for the final 1/8th at least…
