Sunday Price Alert!!!
I absolutely love a horse at Gulfstream Park today. In fact, I love it so much that if she loses, I will turn off the laptop and spend the day outside in the warm Central Florida sunshine with the kids, away from the TV. In fact, I might do the same thing if she wins, now that I think about it.
Gulfstream Park, Race 1
Moviemaker made her first two career starts on the lawn in New York as a juvenile. Both were around one turn. She was 3rd of 12 in the debut and 5th of 11 in the second start. Then they tried the dirt and she went to the sidelines for almost a year. They entered her for the grass twice, but both came off the turf and she did no running. So, it’s conceivable that she just isn’t competitive in the maiden allowance ranks. But it’s just as likely that grass is her game, isn’t it?
The last two works have been in South Florida on the grass, and Leparoux retains the mount for a barn still looking for a win at the meet. At 8-1, you’re getting a filly that is back to what is probably her preferred surface for the first time in almost 15 months. And she’s been competitive at this level before. I love her chances in this spot.
I like these types of longshots, Dew. Win or lose, good pick
Nice second at a big price. 👍🏼
